There was a time I used to yearn for moments like this.

To be a mother.
To hold little hands.
To build a home filled with softness, laughter, and love.

And if I’m honest, single motherhood has stretched me in ways I never expected.

Pregnancy taught me I’d sacrifice my life for my children. But healing taught me I also had to save my life for them too.

Some seasons of motherhood softened me.
Some broke me open.
Some brought me back to myself.

Holding space for the women

Not everyone will clap for you.
And that’s okay.

Not everyone will be happy for you.
Not everyone will celebrate your joy.
Not everyone will be rejoicing over your wins.
